MARITIME OBSERVATORY / DATED SOURCE NOTE
The conversion moved.
The invoice still needs context.

The dollar bought more rupees
The ECB-derived USD/INR reference moved from 95.8173 on 25 September to 95.9830 on 28 September 2026: a rise of 0.1657 INR per dollar, or 0.17%. The calculation divides the ECB’s INR-per-euro reference by its USD-per-euro reference for the same date.
A small move still changes a conversion. It does not tell us the rate a bank offered, the currency of a particular invoice, or whether the exposure was hedged. Those details decide what it means for a desk.
Keep the clocks separate
The homepage’s oil series and monthly freight producer-price index carry their own observation dates. They do not become current just because the browser refreshed. The freight PPI is not the Baltic Dry Index and is not a freight quote.
What remains unavailable
Baltic indices remain unconnected pending an authorized data source. No Baltic level or movement is reproduced here.
